Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Maggie is rather average, standing at about 5'4 in height. She works out regularly and eats very healthy so she has a bit of muscle to her that puts her at slightly above an average weight for someone that height. Her build is a slender/lean one.

2. How old is she? Born on August 22 1987, Maggie is 26 years old.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? Maggie has excellent posture. She takes her health very seriously so along with all the exercise there is definitely yoga and the like included. Some of this also sorta comes from her past life where she was incredibly fit and very catlike in many manners.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Very fit, she takes good care of herself and has no physical disabilities of which to speak. As of 1/29/14 she is still trying to get accustomed to her newfound strength from her previous life but she's managing well enough.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Very fluid, usually at a sedate pace when she isn't in a hurry.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Maggie's hair is probably her most notable feature because it is big and it is very long. Left alone is is very wave and curly and fans out around her like a lion's mane. It is inky black in color and falls to about her knees if not tied up. She usually wears it in a pony tail or braided into plaits. If straightened it is much long and definitely needs to be worn up in a hairdo to keep it off the ground.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? When speaking in Spanish Maggie tends to speak a bit quicker but for the most part she's actually pretty subdued. She has a lower voice, is pretty soft and usually deliberates over what she says. This only changes when she is speaking about something she is really passionate about in which case it becomes the complete antithesis.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Not in particular. As she was born and raised in the states she never really developed an accent.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? She was raised speaking Spanish and English. As she studied Linguistics in college, she is also pretty fluent in Japanese and ASL. Languages are something she picks up on pretty quickly and she'll always be eager to learn others.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope. Only when called for.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? Maggie is pretty book smart. After all she reads near constantly (fictions, nonfiction, anything) and has a pretty impeccable memory. She isn't particularly street smart and tends to be pretty trusting.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? I suppose extrovert, and most people who know her would say definitely. There is a lot she doesn't really speak up about and she is definitely more of a listener than a talker. She'll speak if the other person she is with doesn't talk much but she is also very fine and comfortable with silence.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? Maggie has a somewhat severe case of monophobia. Coupling her 77 years of complete isolation in her past life (after losing the people she loved in such horrific manners) and the neglect she has faced in this life from on her mother makes her incredibly fearful of being alone and unloved. It does not help that the three relationships she has had in her life had ended rather poorly.

This also leads to a general social anxiety that sometimes pops up. As she is so afraid of being alone she often obsesses over what others think about her and so tries very hard to just please everyone despite her own wants. She tries to always be cheerful, upbeat, and agreeable in most situations. Unfortunately she has always been incredibly clingy in the past and overbearing which is what led so many troubles in her relationships. Maggie is aware of this and has been trying really hard to be better about it.

While she has gotten better in some regards she still has a lot to do, and unfortunately she often turns to drinking whenever she feels herself getting depressed.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? Nope.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? Maggie has never really had much contact with her extended family. They did not approve of Maria having Maggie as young as she did, and especially being unmarried and uncommitted. More than anything, however, it was Maria's own actions of completely disregarding their help and always wanting to be off on her own that really separated her from the rest of the family.

As it is, Maria is more or less removed from the family and by extension so is Maggie.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? Her cats: One is named Figaro and he is her oldest cat about 12 years old. He is a big, fat, black and white fluffy ball of absolute laziness. She got him when she was fourteen years old. She was walking by a river and he managed to get out from the box he'd been trapped in :( he just started following her around and she took him home.

The second and third she got when she first returned home from college. Milo and Otis were two baby kittens being given away by a family that lived near them. They are always together and causing mischief all the time but they are the most playful of the lot.

The most recent ones are Pounce and Mabel and they are still kittens that fumble around and get into places they shouldn't.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Right now Maggie doesn't really have anyone that fits best friend status just yet. Kavi (The Signless) and Davin (The Psiioniic) come the closest, which is fitting considering they were her closest friends/family in her past life.

6. Does she have other close friends? Kavi (The Signless), Michelle (Chell), Davin (The Psiioniic), and all those people who are regulars at her store are the closest friends she has.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? She gets along pretty easily with people, but it's a bit more difficult to get past just surface acquaintances with people. At first because of her clinginess and childish interests, but then because she is often afraid to try for fear of facing rejection.

1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Maggie inherited the family business and is the author of a successful and ongoing series. She still has some loans she is paying off but she is actually very well off--much more than people might suspect.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?

She writes and is surrounded by books. What more could she ask for? She does both jobs quite well and also has a very good editor to show her where she is slacking.
